The +/- 12.06-acre (525,334 square feet) property is located at the northwest corner of 115th Street and South Halsted Street in the Morgan Park neighborhood in the City of Chicago, the county of Cook, and the State of Illinois. The site shape, topography, and frontage is an irregular shape and is graded with surface-level parking. 

At its peak, the site was the economic driver for the area as it provided much-needed grocery and retail options plus local jobs. While positioned in Morgan Park, the mall and grocery store serving the residents in Roseland and West Pullman as the three neighborhoods intersect at the 115th Street and Halsted intersection. Since Jewel opened a new 130,000 square-foot grocery store at 119th Street and Marshfield, the site has been vacant since 2008 and a community eyesore.
