FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the housing be affordable?

MPC will only lease or sell properties to individuals or families that are 120 percent and below the Area Median Income (AMI). See Area Median Income Chart.

How will this project benefit the neighborhood?

MPC will provide over $176 million in direct economic impact to the neighborhoods of East Morgan Park, West Pullman, and West Roseland. Once completed, MPC will add more than 1,000 residents to this location, which will increase local buying power and attract more businesses, increase public school attendance, increase public transit ridership, and spur other economic development projects.

Why this location versus other vacant areas for housing?

MPC's goal is to build more mixed-use housing with ground-floor retail near public transit and along the South Halsted Commercial Corridor. This will reduce travel time for residents to access local amenities and better connections to public transit and/ or expressways.
